A tennis team from Aokaulere visited Pohangina and played a match against the local team, the tinal scores of 9 sets and 74 games to 7 sots and 72 games being in i J ohangina’s favour. Detai.s of the scoring are as follow, Pohangina players being named first:—Men’s singles : W. Smart boat J. Woodly, 6—5; F. Roberts boat W. Anderson, junr., 6—5; 11. Moar beat F. Judd, 6—2; I. Lepper boat W. Anderson, senr., 6 —4. Women’s singles: Miss M. Smart lost to Miss E. Anderson, 4—6; Misß J. Sinclair lost to Miss M. Anderson, 2—6; Miss J. Howell lost to Miss J.
