(From Our Own Correspondent.) LONGBURN, Jan. 20.

The friends of Mrs A. Sansom v'ill be pleased to learn that sho has so much improved in health that she has left the private hospital of which she was an inmato and is staying with friends in Palmerston North. At tho Women’s Institute’s noxt meeting the competitions will be for the best two pots of jelly and the throo best blooms from the entrant’s garden. Misses Davidson and Setter, of the South Island, have been visiting Mrs G. Syversen. Mrs W. Stephenson has returned homo from Paraparaumu beach. Mr and Mrs A. E. Searle are on a motor tour of the North Island. Mrs J. Martin, with Miss Jean Martin and Miss B. Campbell, is on holiday at Waitarero beach. Miss Chamberkin is visiting Mrs G. Nicol, of Halcombc. Mrs W. Birch is the guest of Mrs V.Screech of-New Plymouth.
