BULLS.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) BULLS, Jan. 25. A farewell was tendered by members of the Bulls R.S.A. to Air O. H. Grut, their honorary treasurer, who is leaving for Pijpakura, and who has consequently resigned. Mr 11. V. Bond (president) was in the chair and there was a good attendance of members and visitors, the latter including Colonel. Hume, of Palmerston North. Mr Glut was presented with a case of pipes, and Mr Bond thanked him for his valuable services to the branch, and wished him and Mrs Glut and family health and success in their new sphere. A varied programme of music and anecdote was contributed by Messrs Churchill, Richardson, C. 11. and V. Edwards, S. Rich, H.. V. Bond, and others. Mr Grut briefly thanked members for the gift and expressed regret at leaving so- many good friends. Prior to the above gathering the executive of the Bulls R.S.A. waited on Dr. F. J. Watson and presented him with a badge of honorary life membership of the association.
On Saturday afternoon members of the Rangitikei Defence Rifle Club fired under rough conditions. The ranges were 300, 500 and 600yds., and scores and totals are: N H. Amon, W —33—32 —99: H. Meads, 32—35—31—98; W. J. Jenkins, 34—33—31 —9B: K. W. Dalrymplo, 32—32—32—96; D. P. Thorby, 30-32—28-90; A. W. Anion, 31 —26—26 —83.
