RUMOURS OF ALTERATION. Received January 25, 12.15 p.m. LONDON. Jan. 24. Nervousness regarding the franc has again developed. Widening of the discount rate on forward francs is pronounced due to persistent reports that the French authorities contemplate pegging the franc at 112 lnstead ot rOS.
