FUTURE RELATIONS. QUESTIONS IN COMMONS. A DUAL STATUS? (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) (British Official "Wireless.) Received January 26, 11.15 a.m. RUGBY, Jan. 25. Asked whether the claim of the Government of the Irish Free State to be a republic as regarded internal affairs and a Dominion as regarded external affairs was recognised by His Majesty’s Government in the United Kingdom, the Prime Minister (Mr Stanley Baldwin) said the question and the ellect of the recent Irish Free State legislation on that country’s relation to the British Commonwealth of Nations was now under consideration, and until the examination was complete no statement could be made. A Press Association cable from London states that Mr MacDonald informed Sir It. Ross that Mr De Valera, last week, urged that steps be taken towards a united lieland, but had not submitted a scheme.
