LONDON BUTTER MARKET SLOW. CHEESE SALES QUIET. The London butter market was slow at the close of business last week. According to information supplied by the Primary Products Marketing Department to the Dairy Board, deliveries of New Zealand butter last week wore 1051 tons, and the quantity in storo was 3198 tons, compared with 4739 tons a year ago. Deliveries of Australian butter were 1540 tons, and the quantity in store was 3612 tons, compared with 2232 tons a yeai ago. Closing quotations were as follows, the previous week’s prices being shown New °Ze id and E- Sa 11 ed, 94s (99s to 100 s)); unsalted, 100 s to 102 s; ex., 104 s (io6>. to Australian. —Salted, 93s (96s to 975) , unsaltcd, 94s to 96s (102 s to 103 s) Argentine.—Unsaltcd, 88s to 94s (92s Siberian. —-Salted, 90s to 92s (93s to 96>). Ukranian.— Salted, 91s to 92s (94s to 965) Polish. —Salted, 90s to 925; unsaltcd, 90s to 925, . , t, The cheese market closed quiet. Deliveries of New Zealand cheese last week were 7864 orates, and the quantity in store was 26,041 crates, compared with 30,969 crates a year ago. Canadian deliveries wore 4186 boxes, the quantity, m store being 124,078 boxes, as against i 46 885 boxes a vear ago. Closing quotations wore as follows, the previous week s prices being shown in bracket:—New Zealand, white, 60s to 61s (63s to 63s 6d); coloured. 60s to 61s (63s to 63s 6d). Canadian.—White, 71s (71s to 725); coloured, 71s (70s to 71s). English.—Finest farmers', 86s to 88s (firm) ; (86s to 88=) ; English factory cheese, 59s (firm); (60s to 645).
