A rather intense anti-cyclone covers most of the Dominion, its centre being oast of the South Island, but an extensive cyclone is centred between Cape Maria Van Dieman and is moving south-eastward. Forecast. Strong south-easterly winds to gales. Weather: Cloudy to overcast, and rain probable. Temperatures cool; seas rough.
