(From Our Own Correspondent.) AIT. RICHARDS. Dec. 29. The local school children, being deprived of the night’s enjoyment at the Pohaneina Christmas tree, were delighted to welcome Father- Christmas at Coal Creek hride-o one morning. Hero lie distributed splendid gifts from his gaiiv decorated motor-car. Brightly dressed heralds announced the approach. Great praise is due to the ladies of the Women’s Institute, Pohangina, for their work, which gave all the children pleasure. Before departing all enjoyed morning tea. Among the many visitore to the district for the linlidav season were Air and Mrs J. A. Nash, Mr and Afrs S. H. Roberts and tamiiy, Air and Airs J. L. Nash and family, Air and Mrs W. Kibblcwhito and family, Misses B. and AI. Stevens, Air and Airs AlcKay, Air and Airs Viles,.' Aliss AI. Wingate, Air B. Wingate, Misses AlcKay, Air and Airs J. F. Roberts and family (Te Kuiti) and Air J. Wingate.
