CASE REMANDED.

CHARGE OF THEFT. Appearing before Messrs J. A. Nash and W. F. Durward, J.P.’s, in the Magistrate’s Court, at Palmerston North, to-day, Constance Mary Richards, aged 24, was charged that on October 15 last, at Levin, she did steal one diamond ring valued at £2O, the property of Bertie Rupert Way. On the application of Detective-Ser-geant Bickerdike accused was remanded to appear at Wellington on Monday next. Bail was granted in accused’s own recognisance of £25, and one surety of £25.
