SEVERE PARALYSIS.
FRESH CASE AT DUNEDIN. Per Press Association. DUNEDIN, Dec. 30. An 18-year-old girl was admitted to hospital to-day suffering from heavy respiratory paralysis, and placed on tho dangerously ill list. She lives at South Dunedin, but was brought from AYaikouaiti, where she had been staying. . There are now 32 cases in hospital, with varying degrees of paralysis. Ihe majority are light, about a dozen being considerably paralysed.
PRECAUTION AT WELLINGTON. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Dec. 30. The Health Department’s bulletin says that in the 24 hours ended at 9 'a.m. to-day two cases of infantile paralysis had been notified from Dunedin.'One was a girl of 18, whose condition was very serious, and the othei a girl of five, who was only lightly affected. There had been no other notifications in the South Island. A suspected case, a child of five, was admitted to the Wellington Hospital this morning and placed in isolation, hut it is very doubtful whether it has contracted the dispose. J here has been no diagnosis, the admission being for observation only.
