IN SEVERE PAIN. Received December 30. 1.25 p.m. VATICAN CITY. Dec. 29. Rumours that the Pope’s condition is worse are denied. It is understood that the severe pain in the left leg owing to varicose veins is accentuated by neuritis, causing sleeplessness.
