KILLED BY LIGHTNING.
AUSTRALIAN FARMER. Received December 21, 11.0 a.m. SYDNEY, D-ee. 21. Lightning killed Herbert Fletcher, aged 48, a dairy farmer, while he was tending cows on his farm near Nowna. His clothes were alight and a dead cow lay beside him when his wife reached his side a few seconds after the tragedy. Other cows lay unconscious in the dairy yard.
