EX-KING’S SPEECH.

RECORD NOT TAKEN. Received December 19, 1.53 p.m. LONDON, Dec. 18. Although gramophone records of exKing Edward’s farewell speech are selling in America, none were made in England, where there are none for sale, according to the News-Chron-icle.

His Master’s Voice Company, which has usually recorded Royal messages, approached the authorities when it was known the ex-King would broadcast, but permission was refused because it was considered not “policy” to have a record of a departing Monarch’s farewell permanently reproducable in every home.
