STRUCK BY TRAIN.

WOMAN INJURED FATALLY

AUCKLAND, Dec. 18.

Struck by a train going from Auckland to Swanson when she was attempting to cross the line between the Morningside and Mount Albert _ stations. Mrs Christina Still, a widow, aged 65, was thrown against a rock holding-wall and killed. She received severe head and body injuries and was dead when medical assistance reached her a few minutes after tlie accident. When she was almost across the line Airs Still was hit by a train which left Auckland statioii at 2.35 p.m., and was a few minutes away from the Alorningsido station. There is an incline at the scene of the accident, and the train was going fairly slowly. She was thrown about six feet along the line and fell u.gaiust the bank.
