SPECIAL AREAS.
STEPS FOR REHABILITATION. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) (British Official Wireless.) Received December 10, 11 a.m. RUGBY, Dec. 9. Sir George Gillett, who was recently appointed Special Areas Commissioner, lias concluded a two days’ tour of South Wales. He announced that he intends appointing to the London office highly qualified men to look out for new industries for tho special areas. Sir Georgo Gillett said that Merthyr Tydvil seemed about as difficult a problem as any of the districts he had seen. In the north they were benefiting from the revival in trade connected with the expenditure on armaments, but Merthyr Tydvil was receiving no advantage from that.
