VISITORS TO CANNES.
SOLICITOR'S MISSION. - Dec. 9. Mr Theodore Goddard, one of Mrs Simpson's solicitors, his clerk Mr Sidney Barron and Dr Kirkwood have arrived and are staying at the Hotel Miramir, Lord Brownlow issued the following statement: "Mr Goddard has come at his own suggestion to discuss Che closing of Mrs Simpson s London house as she has no intention oi returning to London for some considerable time." 1,1 The Press Association understands that Mr Goddard had not previously flown for which reason he requested Dr Kirkwood, his medical adviser, to accompany him. This is the sole reason for Dr Kirkwood's journey. The Daily Mail's Cannes correspondent says Dr Kirkwood's intended departure this morning from Monte Carlo confirms Lord Brownlow s statement that his visit has no relation to the health of Mrs Simpson. The Daily Mail's extra late edition a notes Lorrl Brownlow as indignantly refuting damaging rumours for which there is no a gra:n of truth. I .know nothing about Dr Kirkwood being a gynaecologist but if he is he certainly is not here in relation to Mrs Simpson." '
