WELLINGTON STOCK EXCHANGE. YESTERDAY’S BUSINESS AND PRICES. There were no special features in the market on the Wellington Stock Exchange yesterday. Business was fairly 'good, and prices were steady to firm on late rates. Government loans showed little change, and movements in bank shares were small. New Zealand industrial issues were generally quiet. Stapois firmed to 38s, sellers moving up to 40s. Now Zealand were steady and Tooths a shade better at 535. INDUSTRIAL ISSUES FIRM. SYDNEY, Dec. 9. Leading industrial shares were generally firmer on the Stock Exchange to-day. Indeed, the market as a whole was stronger, but not over-active. MELBOURNE, Dec. 9. Bonds wore steady, while industrial issues showed a firmer tone on quiet trading. The higher metal prices were reflected in a strong Barrier market.
