(From Our Own Correspondent.) OTA Id, Dec. 2. Miss Betty Skerman, who lias been visiting friends and relatives in Hawke s Bay, has returned to Otaki. _A1 r I*. J. Ryder has been confined to his bed for some days with an attack of bronchitis, lion. A. Hamilton, Leader of the Opposition, will Jiay a visit to Paekakariki shortly to meet members of the Otaki electorate. A quiet wedding took place at Wellington on Monday afternoon, when Air John David Ilovvell,’ of Otaki, was married to Airs Muriel Hill, of Wellington. After tho ceremony, which was attended by a number of intimate friends, a reception was held, after which Mr and Mrs Howell left for (he north on their honeymoon. The total rainfall in Otaki for November was 2.73 in. There were thirteen days on which rain fell, while the heaviest fall (74 points) occurred on the 251 Ji.
