(From Our Own Correspondent.) OTA Id, Dec. 2. Miss Betty Skerman, who lias been visiting friends and relatives in Hawke s Bay, has returned to Otaki. _A1 r I*. J. Ryder has been confined to his bed for some days with an attack of bronchitis, lion. A. A quiet wedding took place at Wellington on Monday afternoon, when Air John David Ilovvell,’ of Otaki, was married to Airs Muriel Hill, of Wellington. After tho ceremony, which was attended by a number of intimate friends, a reception was held, after which Mr and Mrs Howell left for (he north on their honeymoon.
