WORKERS’ WAGES. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Dee. 3. The wages question, which lias been holding up progress in the dispute of the local bodies’ labourers, builders, contractors and general labourers, was settled this afternoon. Casual general workers will receive 2s OJd an hour, and workers engaged in constructing scaffolds, doing tunnelling work, sinking shafts or using poppet drills or explosives 2s 33d an hour. Permanent hands will receive £4 5s a week.
