OPPOSITION LEADER.
VTSIT TO PAHIATUA. In tho course of his tour of the North Island, Hon. A. Hamilton, Leader of the Opposition, paid a visit to Pahiatua on Wednesday. On his arrival he was met by members of the executive and supporters of the Pahiatua branch of the National Party. The chairman (Mr J. G. Brechin) introduced those present to Mr Hamilton, who was given a warm welcome. At the conclusion of liis address the following motion was carried unanimously: “That this meeting of supporters of tho New Zealand National Partv in the Pahiatua electorate express its confidence in Hon. A. Hamilton and its support to the aims, objects and principles of the party as defined by Mr Hamilton. It also requests Mr Hamilton'to convey the views of the Pahiatua branch to the executive of the party.”
