ZAHAROFF’S FORTUNE.
CLAIMANT IN LONDON. LONDON, Nov. 27. The British United Press Paris correspondent says that Sir Basil Zaharoff's fortune, which is variously estimated at between £10,000,1X10 and £30,000,090, will be inherited by two sisters, descendants of the Spanish Bourbons, namely, the Countess Dostrorog and Mrs Leopold Walford, wife of a London shipowner. The latter is a daughter of the late Lady Zaharoff by her first husband. The Daily Mail says that a South Kensington bootmaker, Hyram Zaharoff, will claim the fortune. He asserts that he is a son of Sir Basil. Hyran s family declares that the lather possesses documents relating to Sir Basil’s marriage in Russia and to Hyran s birth 07 years ago. MYSTERY MAINTAINED. BURIAL IN PRIVATE. Received November 30, 9.55 a.m. PARIS, Nov. 29. The mystery surrounding Sir Basi. Zaharoff continued to the grave. The motor hearse bearing his body arrived at his country seat at Balincourt, from Monte Carlo, shortly after midnight, when the gates were closed and the grounds guarded by armed keepers and P°A CG ]ai'ge number of journalists and photographers were refused admission, except one journalist with a wreath, who was admitted only after the burial.
