A juryman summoned to Brighton Quarter Sessions recently was so big that he failed to get into the jury box. Efforts were made to assist him in, but tlie task was found to bo impossible. The recorder (Mr J. D. Cassels, K.C.) saw the man’s difficulty and discharged him from service.
While pale tones in linens are very popular this season, it is useful to bo able to obtain a dark shade if desired. Landed at the right time for summer buyers, these three dark tones in slub silk linen will be sure to receive a good reception. Light navy, a pretty dark brown, and a smart Gloucester (bottle) green are the most favoured.
