TE ARAKURA.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) TE ARAKURA, Nov. 28.
Despite tho unsettled weather conditions which prevailed on Wednesday afternoon, a delightful time was spent by a number of friends whom Mrs D. Lower entertained in her home at Te Arakura. Although the guests were debarred from enjoying the beauties of the garden as they would have liked, the afternoon passed all too quickly indoors with humorous competitions, community singing, etc. The winners of the competitions wore Mesdamos Haythornc, Stanley and Rutherford. Afternoon .tea was served by the hostess, who was attired in a frock of brown and beige figured ninon. Mrs Lynch, of Xgatea, who wore a smart frock of green suede crepe; and Airs Jenner, of Tauranga, who wore a wine ensemble, nssisted Mrs Lower with tho afternoon tea. Others presont were: Mcsdamcs Thomas, Haythornc. Russell, Ansin, Swamson, Wilkins, Burnham, Firth, Johnston, Whittle, Sorenson, Rutherford, Stanley, and AJisscs Bailey, AI. Burnham, Hansen, and J. Burnham.
