RISING REVENUE.
Per Press Association. DUNEDIN, Nov. 28. “The business of the Post and Telegraph Department continues to be very buoyant,” remarked Hon. F. Jones (Postmaster-General), when announcing that the revenue figures for October* as compared with October, 1935, showed the following increases :
Postages: £39,633; telegrams, £1960; tolls, £5738; telephone exchanges. £10,133. For the first seven months of this financial year the gross revenue has increased from £2,085,835 to £2,269,104.
