(From Our Own Correspondent.) EKETAHUNA. Nov. 27. Mrs F. Cowlam is on a visit to Wellington. Mrs Dunstone is returning to Wanganui to-day after being the guest of Mrs Schultz, Rongokokako. Margaret, twin daughter of Mr and Mrs S» Daniel, of Parkville, is in the Tauranga Hospp tal with a broken arm, as a result of becoming entangled in milking machine belting. Mr and Mrs W. B. Broadbent, formerly of Hawera, are spending a holiday with Mr and Mrs J. Spring, beforo taking up their residence in Masterton, where Mr Broadbent is taking over the management of a garage. The trophy donated by Mr P, Berry for competition among the members of the Tararua Rifle Club was won by J. Petersen after a slioot-off with C. Sigvertsen.
The various committees appointed to organise the jubilee of the local school have now held their initial meetings, all of them being most enthusiastic. ■ The task of the invitation committee appears to be no small one, as it will be necessary to send the invitations, which are already available, to Australia, England, and other countries. The organising secretary (Mr S. Daniel) has made arrange menta for a broadcast. The Amateur Athletic Club is co-operating with the sports committe, and .as the procession is a part of their schedule, a. busy time is in store for them all; and the souvenir booklet committee is already at work. All ex-pupils have been asked to send in their names and present addresses, as all the early records have been destroyed by fire.
The County Council crusher at Tiraumea has begun work for the season, operated this year by the electricity recon '#/ made available. After a thorough search of the district for suitable metal, it has been decided to open up a new face at the present pit.
