Since the thrashing incident she had been in a Salvation Army home. An official from the home said the girl had since been well behaved. Her father, wanted her to _ return home, but witness did not think this desirable. Mr Aekins (for the girl) said that she and her .father had settled their differences; the latter was prepared to take her to New Plymouth for a a new start. Mr Wyvern Wilson, S.M., ordered accused to come up for sentence if called upon within twelve months; she is meanwhile to remain in the Salvation Army home, and if she is well-behaved no more will be heard of the case.
