ORANGE PROBLEM.
AUSTRALIAN VIEWPOINT
SYDNEY, Nov. 26
The Premier (Hon. B. S. B. Stevens) was questioned in the Legislative Assembly about the reported prohibitive prices of oranges in New Zealand and asked whether ho would try to induce the New Zealand Government to lilt the embargo. Mr Stevens tersely replied: “I am quite sure the problem could speedily be settled if the New Zealand Government had the determination of the potato question and the Australian Government the determination of the citrus question. Unfortunately, the position is the reverse.”
