SWIMMER EXONERATED.

NEW YORK INCIDENT. NEW YORK, Nov. 26. Lieutenant Winslow, in a statement, exonerated Johnny Weissmuller, whom Winslow had formerly charged with striking him. Weissmuller, in a statement, said: “The youngsters of America will never think me a coward. Tarzan could never be a coward.” Lieutenant Cameron Winslow, junr., United States Navy, a sooially prominent personage, had charged Johnny Weissmuller, actor and swimmer, with badly beating him about the face while the actor’s friends held him. The affair was alleged to have been the result of a night club altercation. Weissmuller iasued a denial.
