CLAIM FOR DAMAGES.

Per Press Association. Nov. 25. Damages totalling £476 13s are sought in a Supreme Court action against Haloid Muir, a journalist, and his wife, for injuries' suffered by Mrs Jean Cartwright Fletcher a pillion rider on a motor cycle which w.as struck by a car driven by Mrs Muir. Negilgence, by failing to keep a proper look-out, is alleged, and failure to manage the car with due care and skill. Mrs Fletcher was in hospital for 122 days. . The defence is a general denial and it is further added, by amendment, that the accident was due to the negligence of the motor cyclist in overtaking and passing the car on the near side and on an intersection. The case is proceeding.
