NOBEL PEACE PRIZE.

ARGENTINIAN HONOURED. OSLO, Nov. 24. The Argentine Foreign Minister, Dr. Lamas, has been awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for 193 G. Dr. Carlos Saavedra Lamas has been Minister of Foreign Affairs for the Argentina since 1932, and was elected President of the League of Nations Assembly in September. Born at Buenos Aires in 1880, Dr. Lamas took bis Doctor of Laws degree at the university there. Ho is a former Minister of Justice and Public Education, was president of the Eleventh International Labour Conference at Geneva in 1928, was Argentine delegate to the International Conference of tho American Institute of International Law, and is a permanent member of the council of directors of the organisation.
