There was a 'good attendance at Iho meeting of the coininittea and- stallholders, held in the sehboih last night, to report on activities-'and v make K final arrangements for'the garden party to be held in the school'-grounds: Mrs R. It' was reported that the “bottle drive” made bv-the children,'under the efficient control of • Miss ‘ Curtis,' bad boon rewarded ..with most • gratifying . results, - -as with still a number to be collected tho amount .received' had been '£s ,14s ,6d. Tho canvassers,:■ Mrs Cochrane and Messrs Tait and McFarland, reported that ; their work had been -very ,'sueccosful, the business people being' mest , generous, and' many valuable gifts, ‘had. resulted.- ' A vote 'of thanks' was passed' t‘o all the donors.' li was decided to accept- the offer of a wireless sot from-Messrs 'Nirriiho 1 for-the afternoon. i Mrs- Kendrick reported 'on- the pro gramme far the .evening, saying (hat an orchestra from- Fahnerstcn North had get,, eronsly donated their.,- services,.
