TEMPERANCE ISSUE.
Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Nov. 19. The Methodist Synod, tins morning, endorsed the recomniehdation of the Connexional Public Questions Committee that a conference committee should be set up-to bring down proposals for more effective and intensive educational temperance work among the young people, with special reference to Bands of. Hope, and -to launch a pledge-signing campaign. The Synod also reaffirmed its conviction “tliat the .liquor traffic , is a prolific cause of moral waste, domesticmisery, and- industrial disturbances.”
