WELLINGTON SYNOD. Per Press Association, z WELLINGTON, Nov. 19. The annual synod of the Wellington district of the Methodist Church closed to-day. Masterton is to he the next venue of the synod. Proposals for the commemoration in 1938 of the bicentenary of British Methodism were the subject of a report by a special committee. It is proposed to arrange inspirational gatherings, commemorative services, and the distribution of literature setting forth the lessons of Wesley’s life, the celebrations to culminate in a great gathering at the Dunedin Conference in 1939.
