FLOCK HOUSE.
ESTATE TO BE SOLD. TRUSTEES’ PLANS. CBv Telegraph.—Special to Standard.) WELLINGTON, Oct. 27. Authorisation of the sale of Flock House to the Government is contained in a clause ill the Reserve and Other Lands Disposal Rill which was introduced in the House of Representatives to-night. It is explained that the trustees of the Acknowledgment of Debt to British Seamen Fund own 8261 acres, the Flock House station, on which the dependants of British seamen have been trained in farm work and dependants of New Zealand soldiers have received training consequent on the cessation of immigation in 1032. The trustees now consider that the original object of the fund should be adhered to, and for this season, and because they have little available capital to continue the work, they desire to sell Flock House as a going concern. This sale would enable the trustees to convert their assets into liquid capital so that they may more satisfactorily pursue the objects of their trust.
