That music, rather than poetry, should be called the happy art. was the inspiration prompting Miss Mona Dean and her sister. Miss Winifred Dean, to share with the citizens of Palmerston North some of the joy that is theirs In musicmaking. A recital of modern music, arranged for two and three pianofortes, will take place at the Roseo tearooms on Wednesday, Ootolrer 28, when a musical treat is in store for those who attend. The programme has intriguing features, most of the numbers having been arranged by the Misses Dean. It must bo remembered that this is quite an impromptu affair, in which, in addition to her sister. Miss Mona Dean will have the assistance of four of her advanced pupils, Miss Cynthia Vickery, Mr F Bull, dean and Campbell Davie. ‘Very generously it was decided to make this effort aid a worthy cause, the children’s health camp fund being chosen, for which there wifi be a silver collection.
