RONGOTEA.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) ■< • , RONGOTEA, Oct. 5. The name of Mrs J. A’Court, who passed away at Sanson on Saturday, will recall to many in this district the time when, with her husband and family, she lived on the laipo Road, Rongotca, at the summit of the rise still know as “A’Court’s Hill”; and this home, widely known in those days for its gracious hospitality, is still a fragrant memory with many old identities. -Mrs A’Court was possessed of a strong personality, a keen sense of humour, and gaiety of spirit that all added to the charm of her character. She was, with her family, a regular attender at the local Methodist Church, and by the interest she evinced in the welfare of young folk many were greatly helped. She was an intorcsied and efficient worker in the home and for the Church, yet always able to find time to sympathise with and minister to cases of sorrow and distress. Many friends extend their sympathy to the bereaved family.
