BIG WARSHIP LAUNCHED. WILHELMSHAVEN, Oct. 3

Far in advance of schedule, on account of which the Government congratulated the builders, the largest post-war battleship, named the Scharnhorst, was launched in the presence of Herr Hitler. She is a 26,000ton vessel and has nine 11-inch guns, significantly all mounted forward. General Blomberg (Minister of Defence) said that the. vessel was the first fruit of the Anglo-German naval understanding.
