LAWN TENNIS.

KAIRANGA CLUB. (From Our Own Correspondent.) KAIRANGA, Oct. 2. The annual meeting of the Kairanga Tennis Club was held recently, Air H. Turner presiding. The balance-sheet was road, showing a credit balance of £3 7s fid. The following officers were elected: President, Air H. E. Turner; vice-president, Air G. Davey; secretary, AJr L. Clark; captain. Air R. Afildon; vice-captain, Aliss 0. Green; committee, Alissos O. Green and G. Jackson, Messrs H. Turner, G. Davey, L. Clark, I. Davey, R. Alildon and W. Harrison. It was decided that the opening of the club lie hold on the first Wednesday in October, weather permitting. Kindred clubs were extended an invitation to he present. It was also decided to hold a “working bee” to repair the damaged netting and do general repairs. A SCO tourney is also to be held early in October, prizes having been donated by Alessrs H. Turner. O. Collis, G. Davev and L. Clark. 'The club’s report showed that it had been very successful during the past season. The balance-sheet showed a credit balance of £3 7s 6d to commence the new season with. There were 29 financial members. The A team played seven matches, winning six and losing one, and the B team played five matches, winning 4.
