MAGISTRATE’S COURT.

Mr J. L. Stout, S.M., presided over a sitting of the Magistrate’s Court in Palmerston North to-day. George Frederick William Fisher, aged 28, a farm labourer, was charged with the theft, on September 17, at Rongotea. of a pair of gum boots and a shirt, of a total value of £l, the property of S. W. Hughes. Accused, pleaded guilty. Detective-Sergeant Bickerdike, who appeared for the police, stated that the goods were missed when accused ’left his employer’s place. The Magistrate convicted accused and ordered him to come up for sentence if called upon within six months.
