WIFE’S PRIDE.
YOUNG CO-PILOT. LONDON, Oct. 1. "It is wonderful,” said Scott’s wife. ‘‘l am very proud of ‘Scotty’ and am looking forward to welcoming him.” Giles Guthrie, Scott’s companion, was the youngest competitor in the race. He is the 20-year-old son of Sir Connop Guthrie and is an undergraduate at Cambridge. He received special permission to compete. He has flown several thousand miles in Britain.
