PREMIER’S DECLARATION
(United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) Received September. 30, 8.5 a.m. PARIS, Sept. 29. The Premier (M. Leon Blum) intervened in the debate on the Gold Bill to point out that the Chamber were discussing a fait accompli. Even if the Chamber threw out the measure the Government could not go back on what it had done. The amendment modifying the sliding scale of wages adjustment was adopted by 335 votes to 199, and the Bill was anally adopted by 350 votes to 221.
