(From Our Own Correspondent.) BULLS, Sept. 29. Tho final practice shoot of the season was held on the Rifle Club’s range on Monday nighty and there was a good attendance of members, including several from Marlon. Scores wore as follow: —L. Huddleston 100, C. E. Bailey 97, R. White 97, C. M. Broughton 96, L. Anderson 96, R. McKenzie 96, L. Ransom 95, E. Lewis 95. A. Clark 94, P. Thorby 94, N. Anion 93, It. Lewis 91, D. Westwood 90, W. Rankin 88, J. Homes 96, L. Gray 80, J. Bartlett 78. At the conclusion, a social was held, dut.ing tho course of which Mr C. M. Broughton handed to Mr Ngaio Araon tho Tisdall Cup for tho champion shot, and congratulated this young rifleman on Ifis fine performance. Mr L. Anderson, president of tlho club, presented Mr Amon with a handfiome fountain pen in recognition of his services in keeping tho club at its high standard. Mr Amon, he said, had his whole heart in tho club, and kept tho teams together. Mr Amon briefly responded, thanking members for their gift, and expressing the hope that they would maintain the standard of shooting. Tho sale of work organised by tlio Ladies’ Guild of tho Bulls Presbyterian Church, on Monday afternoon, was a pronounced success, about £54 being made by the sale of produce, drapery, flowers and cakes. Members of tho guild all worked hard, and tho hon. secretary (Miss E. Riohards) proved a capable head. Mr C. L. Hunter, M.P., and Mrs Hunter attended, Mr Hunter declaring tho sale open, and Mrs Hunter being presented with a bouquet. Mr A. Gibson (Marton) brought along a magnificent display of daffodils, of which there were over $0 varieties, and Miss Stevens (Bulls) exhibited several beautiful specimens of floral work. Tlie afternoon tea wa<s in ehargo of the Parewanui ladies, with Mrs H. L. Russoll as supervisor, and the dainties provided were both tasty and satisfying. Results of competitions are as follow Fancy work: Worked trolley cloth, Mrs Farrer 1: daintiest toilette set, Miss Clare (Carnarvon) 1. Domestic: Home-mado bread, Miss P. Scott (Carnarvon) 1, Mrs W. Klatt (Parewanui) 2; plain econes, Mrs W. Klatt 1, Mrs R. J. Carter 2; biscuits, Mrs W. Klatt 1; shortbread, Miss Clare 1. Mrs R. J. Carter 2; gingerbread, Miss Clare 1, ill's Ross 2; chocolato cake. Miss Clare 1, Miss Z, McGregor 2; dairy butter, Miss Willis 1 ilrs Westwood 2; marmalade, Mrs F. Ellery 1, Mrs Kemp 2. Children's section: Sponge cake, Lconoro Cornfoot 1; pikelets, Betty Cornfoot 1. Flowers: Vase of spring flowers, Mrs R. J. Carter 1; daffodils, Mrs T R. Willis (Greatfoid) 1; specimen daffodil, Miss Cook (Marton) 1; child’s posy, Sheila Signal 1.
