Mrs G. Ibell, of Palmerston North, is visiting Auckland.
Mrs AV. J. Day is at present visiting Wellington. Miss Z. Ralfe, of Bulls, has been appointed permanent infant mistress at the Sanson School.
Miss Tui Anderson, of the Wairarapa, is the guest of Mm E. 11. Eames, of Elmira Avenue. Mr and Mrs M. A. Eliott, of Palmerston North, went to the Continent at the end of August and were expected to leave for home via the East in September.
Among the many letters of congratulations and good wishes received -by the Palmerston North Townswomen s Guild for its second birthday on Monday was one horn the Port Ahuriri Townswomen’s Guild. Mr and Mrs W. G'outts, of Palmerston North, wiio have been on a motor trip to Auckland, Kawliia, and Waitomo Caves, have returned home. Queen Salot-e of Tonga arrived at Auckland on Monday by the Awatea en route to Tonga after ail extended visit to Australia. She is accompanied by H.R.H. Prince Tugi, Prince Consort. Queen Salote made the trip for health -reasons and she has benefited very much by the change.
