FITZHERBERT WEST

(From Our Own Correspondent.) FITZIIERBERT WEST, Sept. 29. The Tiritea School was the scene of a most successful gathering, when the Fitzherbert West Settlors’ Hall Committee held one of their scries of euchre and dances. Visitors wero present from Palmerston North and Aokautere. The winnors of the euchre prizes were Ladies, Miss Betty Greer; men, Mr It. Greatorox. A pokerwork tray ivas won by Mrs A. K. Kerslake of Palmerston North, and Mrs H. D. Greer was the winner of the decorated cake Music for the dancing was supplied by Mr 11. Brill (Aokautere). An extra contributed by Miss Freda Greatorex was much enjoyed. Mr 11. Harris was M.C. At a meeting of the Hall Committee last evening it was decided with regret to accept the resignation of Mr J. Hasloch. Mr Raymond Kilsby was elected to fill the vacancy.
