SEQUEL TO ARREST.
YOUTH ON REMAND. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, Sept 28. A sequel to the arrest of a young man wearing female attire was heard in the Magistrate’s Court to-day, when Phillip Walter Darcy Stewart, aged 19, a clerk, was charged with the theft of a car valued at £230, the property of Jack Herbert Luxford, at Wanganui, on September 21. He was remanded to appear at Auckland on Wednesday. Mr F. K. Hunt, S.M., refused accused's application for suppression of his name. The Magistrate asked: Is this not tho boy who dressed himself as a woman ?
“This is the handsome young lady we arrested,” replied Detective McHugh.
