MONSTER IN LOCH.

ALDERMAN’S OBERVATIONS. Loch Ois in Inverness-shire has now its “monster.” Mr A. J. Richards, an alderman of the Camberwell Borough Council, his son, Mr J. A. Richards, and a friend first observed it when boating on the loch recently. Alderman Richards, who has kept a look-out on the shore since, informed a reporter that he had seen it again. He said: “I have been keeping a look-out for what we believe to bo a creature of monstrous proportions, since its first appearance near our boat. On August 14 my attention was drawn to a disturbance in the water and then what I take to be its head shot up. It was exactly like the monster we saw on Tuesday. It was jet black, and I am sure that the neck was shaggy. “Its movements were swift. The head disappeared and the next moment two distinct humps were visible. These too were black and glossy. Suddenly it vanished, leaving the surface of tho water in a commotion. I kept a lookout for almost two hours, but there was no further sign of it.” , Older inhabitants of the loch side are not surprised at this story. It has recalled memories of their own experiences of this kind many years ago. Their theory is that such creates as this and the Loch Ness monster, about which nothing has been heard this summer, inhabit caves deep down in the water, and that when geological disturbances widen the cave entrances they come out.
