SCHOOL COMMITTEES.

DOMINION FEDERATION. Consequent on the election of Mr W. G. Black, president of the watu and Oroua School Committees’ Association, as the president of the Dominion Federation of School Committees’ Associations, the delegates attending a meeting of the local association, last evening, were called oil to elect the executive of the federation. It was decided that the national executive be composed of the six members of the association’s executive, with the addition of five others, thus making the requisite number, eleven. The members of the association’s executive are Messrs J. W. Batchelar (Waituna West)), W. A. Salt (Awahuri), E. Christian (Stanway), A. Penketli (West End), W. J. Amies (Rongotea), and E. AV. Barnett (Tokornngi). The five additional members appointed are Messrs C. F. A. Waters .(Central), H. W. Cox (Hokowhitu), W. F. Cutler (Central), F. G. Murphy (Milson), and J. J. Hume (Te Aral;lira). At the suggestion of the chairman the name of W. J. R. Garcia (Taranaki) was added, that being deemed advisable in view of the fact that the next conference would he held in Taranaki. Air AV. E. Cooper, who is secretary of the local association, will act as secretary for the Dominion executive of the federation.
