WELLINGTON STOCK EXCHANGE.

YESTERDAY'S BUSINESS AND PRICES. A good volume of business was recorded yesterday on the Wellington •Stock Exchange, prices being generally ; firm at late rates. New Zealand issues continued dull and easy, but Australian industrials were strong on a good demand. Union Bank had several sales •at £9 10s, and Commercial of Australia were firm at 18s 4d. Bank of New Zealand had dealings at 39s sd, buyers staying in at 395. National of Australasia were wanted at £l4 os. Breweries were very quiet, but Dominion were wanted at 30s 6d and Staples at 355, holders of the latter asking 365. New Zealand Refrigerating, 10s paid, weakened to 8s lid, sellers 9s 3d. Union Steam preference were firm, a parcel of 1300 shares being sold at 26s 6d. Buyers were in for Manawatu Knitting at 31s. but there were no offers. Broken Hill Proprietary advanced to 78s, sellers 78s 9d ; ud'oGs 6d was bid for the 15s paid, new issue. YESTERDAY'S QUOTATIONS.
