DANCE FOR RUGBY QUEEN.

A JOLLY FUNCTION

A jolly dance was held in Miss June Scott’s hew studio adjoining her home in Ngata Street, on Saturday night, m order to assist the Rugby Union Queen, Miss Bona Holland, in her campaign. IVliss Bollaiul wore a graceful frock of black net. Miss Scott was attired in mustard marocain, .cut on slender lines, and she was assisted by her sister, Mrs A. L. Francis (Wellington). who wore black hand-painted marocain. A green model frock trimmed witli fawn was the choice of Mrs Scott. The studio was attractively airanged with spring flowers. Dancing was enjoyed to music supplied by a professional orchestra, and cards weie played by non-dancers. There was an attendance of about 60. Items which gave pleasure during the evening were a Bussian dance by Nell Watson and an operatic dance by Joan p e i T in. The former wore a pretty white satin frock with Bussian sleeves and bright'y coloured flowers appliqued oil the skirt, and a cyclamen corsage, and flowers were wreathed in her hair. Joan Perrin was dressed in a frock with a white velvet top which had a silver butterfly ill f out, and a fluffy tulle skirt, and wore a fitting cap. Mr A. Kino- contributed saxophone solos. Mr F. Matthews proved the winner of a competition. . . At the conclusion of the function, it was pronounced by one and all to be an outstanding success.
