AGAINST RUSSIA
NAZIS’ MARTIAL SPIRIT. AN OMINOUS TURN. “UNITED IN HATRED.” (United Press Association- By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) LONDON, Sept. 14. The Daily Telegraph’s Nuremberg correspondent says that the anti-Bol-shevik campaign has taken a more ominous: turn. A martial spirit is frankly predominant. The correspondent draws attention to a passage in Herr Hitler’s speech: “When 1 call lor a German demonstration it will not be an undisciplined mob of 10,000 or 20,000, but millions and millions of men who will march in unbroken ranks.” The Storm Troop chief, Herr Lutz, responded: “We are united in hatred of a common enemy. We are not afraid and have prepared everything. Only give us the command, Fulmer, and we w-ill obey.” FRENCH UNEASY. GERMANY’S 1 IMPERIALISM. PARIS, Sept. 14. The French Press continues to display uneasiness over the Nuremberg speeches. L’Echo de Paris declares that none must be deceived in regard to the reasons for Herr Hitler’s antiBolshevik crusade. Bolshevism does not threaten the internal regime of Germany, and Russia does not want war. Further, Germany and Russia have not got common frontiers. Herr .Hitler seeks to use international Fascism in the interests of German Imperialism. France will not tolerate his pretentions to dictate her foreign policy, and fears disciplined Prussianism more than Russia.
At Nuremberg, tho last day of the congress opened with a gigantic display of Germany’s armed might, five hundred ’planes circling the sky, w-hile 17,000 soldiers, naval detachments, tanks and heavy artillery paraded at Zeppelin Field. The realism was heightened by the roar of artillery and incessant chatter of machine-guns.
LOCARNO DISCUSSIONS
GERMAN-RUSSIAN BREACH
LONDON, Sept, 14
The Daily Mail’s diplomatic correspondent says that Herr Hitler has informed Whitehall that Germany would on no account sit at the same table as Russia in the Locarno Powers’ discussions, thus dismissing hope of an eastern pact.
